POSITION OVERVIEW
With the goal of ensuring maximum up-time and minimal disruption to business, the selected candidate will be responsible for technically administering, maintaining, and monitoring the technical environment for the Caribbean, as well as Central and Latin America. This will include hardware and software related work on the corporate network, systems, and telecom. In addition, this individual will play a critical role in a current initiative and evolution to centralize and standardize infrastructure and support across a newly-formed Regional IT organization that includes the U.S., Canada, the Caribbean, and Central and Latin America. The individual will assist in evaluating current IT infrastructure and help identify technologies to improve security, scalability and reliability, as well as perform robust QA and Change Control Processes to ensure continuous, smooth service.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field is required.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will be a technically competent, hands-on self starter with strong communication, leadership and teamwork skills. He/she must be able to work with multiple project teams simultaneously and thrive in a high performance, and very fast-paced, dynamic environment. Up to 30% travel out of the country will be required.
We require 5-8 years of experience in IT, including experience managing IT operations for a remote user population. Applicant must possess operational knowledge of WAN/LAN technologies including Windows server 2003 & 2008, Active Directory, MS Exchange, Lotus Notes, MPLS/Network, Virtualization technologies, VMware, Remote access, WAN acceleration, Telecom, VoIP, Internet, etc. Fluency in English and Spanish is essential.
