Sourcing Specialist

Job Requirements:

Language Fluent in English & Spanish. Portuguese not required but preferred

Education Minimum 3-6yrs work experience with an engineering degree from an accredited university.

Scope:

•Responsible for the preparation and placement of purchase orders.
•Collaborates with finance to resolve invoice/payment discrepancies and reconciles accounts payable general ledger
•Responsible for contract negotiations and contract administration.
•Identifies alternative sources of supply and leads many of the “request for quotation” activities, including price negotiations and contract terms/conditions.
•Leads the supplier management/scorecard activities for critical suppliers ie. TQRDC
•Applies analytical skills for analysis and interpretation of trends or data generated by company reporting systems, statistical results, or other information collection systems.
•Utilizes GPS Global Project System to track and report project performance.
•Responsible for minimizing total product and process cost by participating in cost reduction efforts
•Leads sourcing compliance activities

Qualifications:

•Attention to detail and strong project management skills
•Proven negotiation skills with supplier and vendors
•Ability to travel outside the country up to 20 of the time
•Possess strong written and oral communication/presentation skills English/Spanish
•High degree of initiative, creativity and drive for success with good analytical and decision making skills
•Ability to work under pressure with deadlines
•Flexibility in job expectations with ability to react and adapt to changing conditions and requirements
