ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE
The procurement buyer is responsible for the execution of the weekly purchase plan for all direct materials in support of internal manufacturing and contractor partners in North and Central America. Serves as the primary procurement contact on matters relating to weekly material availability, logistics, invoice discrepancies, and import/export concerns.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Determines the appropriate weekly raw materials order quantity to ensure the timely and accurate flow of goods to all manufacturing locations. Analyzes various planning reports and tools to determine amounts needed and verifies the availability with predetermined vendors. Works with Operations Planners to ensure production plan requirements are met.
2. Responds to and resolves inquires from VF Coalitions and sub contractor locations regarding problems with raw material inventories. Communicates exceptions to the production plan to ensure appropriate response steps are taken to adjust the plan.
3. Monitors and expedites existing orders. Analyzes various reports to determine status of orders and acts accordingly. Maintains and performs systems updates on all open purchase orders, ASN’s, and MTA’s to insure reporting accuracy.
4. Works with logistics and import/export functions to ensure the timely and cost effective flow of goods to all manufacturing locations.

EDUCATIONAL / POSITION REQUIREMENT:
High School Diploma required bachelors degree preferred.
Related purchasing experience preferred.

SKILLS:
English proficiency required
Good written and verbal communications skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
Detailed oriented with decision making ability and initiative.
Works well under minimal supervision.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
