•Monitors and analyses DMCE systems performance and optimizes processing response time.
•Provides technical resolution/support to customers (internal and/or external)
•Ensures DMCE system operation is maintained at acceptable levels, including any necessary product and operating system restart, recovery and reconfiguration procedures
•Collects data and performs initial problems determination on system errors or malfunctions, and works with the supplier to identify, diagnose and rectify the problem
•Performs capacity study to analyze current resource utilization and estimates future requirements
•Participates in the problem management process to determine the impact of identified systems errors on processing service levels and to priorities problem resolution resources
•Participates in the change management process to test and evaluate changes in the operating systems environment before cutover to the operational system
•Understands the interdependencies of the services (application, system, network and database) and is able to pin-point problem area accurately to improve overall efficiency
•Any other duties as and when assigned.
•At least 3 years in IT Operation management.
•Sun System and Network Administration Certified.
•Have to at least possess at least 3 of the following skill set with at least 3 years experience in each skillset :
•Solaris 10 Unix systems administration, Veritas volume and file system management,
•Hand-on knowledge in oracle administration with real application cluster. Good experience in oracle performance tuning.
•Hand-on Knowledge in Sun cluster administration and resource management.
•Hand-on on IBM Websphere MQ administration and configuration skill set.
•BEA Weblogic Application Server administration and application parameter tuning.
•Sun Directory Server administration.
•Network File System administration.
•Sun SAN storage administration.
